Planning ahead for a time when they no longer want to care for their large multi-level Victorian, the owners wanted a small, single-level house. Until then, it will be used as a guest house, an art studio for her, and a wood shop for him -- all located conveniently across from their current residence. The kitchen backsplash features a tile mosaic recreated from one of her paintings. The rare and beautiful sequoia redwood used for the living room paneling, interior doors and entrance was purchased in 2006 and stored until the opportunity arose to use it in their new home.
